ACT: Police find car allegedly involved in hit and run

CANBERRA, Aug 30 AAP - ACT police have located a car allegedly involved in a hit-and-run
fatality in suburban Richardson last Sunday.

They expected to speak to the driver some time this week, an Australian Federal Police
spokesman said.

"At about 9pm last night a man and his solicitor walked into the City Police Station
and surrendered the vehicle to police," the spokesman said in a statement.

James Dudley Bolton, from Cooma in southern New South Wales, died when he was struck
by a car in Clift Crescent about 3.30am on Sunday.

Police said on Monday a small white car with a smashed windscreen and front panel damage
was seen leaving the area shortly after the incident.
