ALBANY -- The final game didn't mean anything. The Continental Basketball Association's regular season ended Tuesday night -- six weeks early -- with the Albany Patroons losing to the Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry 109-96 at Washington Avenue Armory.
On Thursday night, the CBA's best-of-three championship series means everything to members of the Patroons and Cavalry.
It might be the first pro basketball championship in history to take place in the first week of February, but the CBA claims it didn't have a choice.
